2 c milk
1 bay leaf
pinch of mace
4 T butter
1/3 c flour
¼ t salt
Melt butter over medium heat. Add the flour to combine. Add the milk and whisk quickly remove any lumps. Bring to low simmer to thicken and add the mace and salt. Remove from heat.
